Broken Nose 11: Portrait of a Roman Youth

This drawing is of a portrait sculpture of a Roman youth dating from 190-200 C.E. in the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Missouri. I loved the youthfulness of the sculpture and the intensity of the lighting on the display, creating intensely expressive shadows on the face.

The drawing was executed in pencil and white chalk on Strathmore 400 series Toned Gray paper.
